The Breeding.

This is a line breeding – a Sarak son bred to a Sarak granddaughter.  Both dogs are performance animals.  That means that they both have the temperament and personality to learn, think for themselves when necessary, obey commands when asked, and keep trying even when it becomes difficult or exhausting.  It also means that they have the correct structure that allows an animal to become an athlete.

The final thing about both these dogs is that they share a burning desire to please their people.  That quality is key to a dog who is wonderful family member.

Tinker

Ch Celebra Tia Tintinabulation HOF

Bred & Owned by Julie Reconnu & Michael Gibson

Co-bred by: Christi Leigh

Tinker was #8 Briard by all breed points in 2005.  OFA Good (FB-1502G25F-P1), Elbows Normal (FB-EL256F26-P1).  CERF Clear.

Tinker is our Princess – beautiful, refined, and well mannered.  But don’t let that beauty fool you.  On sheep she is a mud loving, let-me-at-‘em, work-all-day herding dog.  She left the show ring at the end of 2005 to start herding and to have puppies.  Tinker earned her first leg of a Herding Started Title on C-course with sheep with a High in Trial just before becoming pregnant.  She is disappointed that her pregnancy is causing her to miss the Briard Club of America Herding Trial in February, in Ennis , Texas , but we are sure these puppies will make it worth delaying her herding career for a few months.

Bear

Ch Kaliphi Henri Hubert CD, OA, OAJ, UKC-Ag1, HIC, TT, CGC , VT , HOF

Bred by  Debra Morrow

Owned by John & Sue Harvison

Bear was a Top Ten Briard by both breed and group points in 1997 and 1998.  He was awarded and Award of Merit at the 1997 BCA National Specialty.

Through the modern miracle of frozen semen, Bear is the father of Tinker’s litter though he died before she was born.  Bear was a beautiful dog with a strong work ethic.  He was never happier than when he had a job to do.  He earned titles and honors in conformation, obedience, and agility, but his real job was taking care of his home and his folks.  Bear had a large circle of admirers, and made everyone he met feel like a long lost friend.
